Designed and built by Volkswagen's Karmann group, the Golf Cabriolet saw the light of day in 1979. Equipped with a cradle to improve security, it was designed to be the worthy successor of the convertible Beetle. With 399 522 units produced, and a career reaching 1993 despite the appearance of the Golf 2. The Young Line was distinguishable thanks to its floors, its sports seats, its blue roofing and markings on the side. It was, in other words, the original Golf Cabriolet.
