Since 2021, the 'Renaulution' is on the way at the French carmaker. The idea is based on the project to make Renault a "more profitable, more competitive, more successful company, with brands that shine and a new range of products. This "Renaulution" is based on a simple concept: neo-retro, in other words, "making something new from something old". This includes the production of a new 100% electric Renault 5. To convince the public to go electric, Renault wants to capitalise on its past glories. Thus, the R5 is the first to be "revised and corrected". The Renault 5 e-tech electric prototype was presented in the autumn of 2021. It is a preview of the new R5 that will be marketed in 2024.
