In 2002, Alfa Romeo relaunched its famous GTA acronym (Gran Turismo Alleggerita ... nothing to do with the famous video game!). The comeback caused quite a stir and benefited the 156, the Italian manufacturer's flagship model at the time. Its curves and bright red colour were a delight, as was the fact that it was powered by a 3.2-litre V6 engine developing 250bhp at 6,200rpm! The gamble paid off, and Alfa Romeo is once again making people dream with this superb 156 GTA!
