This seemingly innocuous Citroën wasn’t just for the city; it also made its way as far as rally tracks and the championship roads of France. Light, agile and with an impressive weight/power ratio it was the ideal car to distinguish oneself with in competition. The Saxo Kit Car was amongst many things often used to train younger talents, including a young man called Sébastien Loeb, who drove the little car to victory at the beginning of the millennium. It consequently became the favourite car for any would-be rally driver wanting to get off to a good start.
